On 26 November 2023, the Historische S-Bahn association ran a Christmas train through Berlin for the first time in 15 years. After that, journeys took place every Advent weekend. This scenario pack is available to honour this event. Two journeys corresponding to the train's Sunday timetable are included. In the original, the journeys began in Grünau, but we start where the train arrives at the Ringbahn. In Neukölln and Treptower Park. True-to-original announcements add to the atmosphere.

Unfortunately, we don't have a replica of the original Christmas train at our disposal, but our rivet replica from "Mitten durch Berlin" also does a good job here.

The add-ons "Ringbahn Berlin" and "Mitten durch Berlin" in the current versions 1.10 and 1.21 are required.

The add-on depicts the Berlin S-Bahn and mainline railway ring as it was in 2022. A branch line leads north to Pankow. The mainline railway can be used from Treptower Park to Treptow goods station (after a loop around the ring). Signals, safety equipment and track markings are available on the S-Bahn and mainline tracks. The S-Bahn signals are still secured with track stops. The authors have gone to great lengths to make the cityscape as recognisable as possible. Tempelhof Airport is an exception in the temporal representation. It is still used in the simulation. Some signal boxes that have already been demolished (Frankfurter Allee B2, Ostkreuz OKO) have been given a virtual memorial, contrary to the prototype. The signal boxes that are no longer in use do not look as rancid as they do in reality, but appear well maintained and preserved.

Included are:

  • Highly detailed cityscape of Berlin along the route,
  • 40 km of S-Bahn and 40 km of mainline railway,
  • 29 railway stations,
  • 4 goods stations,
  • 1 harbour facility.
  • Class 483/84 S-Bahn train,
  • Class 232 diesel locomotive,
  • ICE1,
  • various AI vehicles.

SzzenariopaketBereitschaft

On-call duty for Christmas Eve. Bad weather outside and at 3 in the afternoon the dispatcher actually calls: The Münster freight bypass has been blocked since yesterday by an unfortunate derailed locomotive, Münster Gbf is full and a train that has been there since yesterday has to be taken to Hörne and then the locomotive to Osnabrück. To Osnabrück? It's not that far. Yes, if you were the only train on the line. But there are many others laboriously working their way north. The fog allows a signal visibility of 300m, so full concentration is called for, at 250m is the 500Hz magnet! Finally, mulled wine and bratwurst at the Osnabrück depot. 90 minutes on the (fortunately heated) electric locomotive.

In two versions: with 145.2 (from Münster - Bremen) or with virtual Railroads 140 Expert Line.

Requires the 3D train freight car package (also here in the shop) and for the second variant vR 140 Expert Line.

The Christmas train of the Berlin S-Bahn has a long tradition. Since 2009, however, it no longer runs for various reasons. This year it might not run because of Corona. Nevertheless, we put it on the tracks of our virtual S-Bahn. Drive the train from Berlin-Pankow to- well, you'll see.

The package contains the class 476 in the variant "Christmas Train", a scenario over more than one hour and a whole lot of Christmas assets.

EUR 2 of the sales proceeds will be donated to the Historische S-Bahn association so that the real Christmas train can run again!

The prerequisites are Train Simulator 2020 and the add-on "Through the Heart of Berlin" (version 1.10) on your computer.
